- Implemented several captive insurance related strategies for clients in various industries, including health care, manufacturing and retail.
- Assisted clients with M&A due diligence, including coverage evaluation, identification of potential gaps and overlaps, and projection of cost synergies.
- Worked side-by-side with risk managers, senior management, and operations managers to reduce loss costs for workers’ compensation, general liability, and automobile liability. In one case loss costs decreased from over $200 million to under $100 million over the course of 6 years.
- Provided advice and recommendations on client contracts, including appropriate coverage requirements, indemnity wording, and other risk related provisions.
- Worked with assigned actuaries to develop and implement quantitative loss forecasts and reserve estimates and adapted same for measurement of program success, cost allocations, etc.
- Developed and implemented cost allocation or chargeback systems which rewarded operational management for desired loss control and claim management behaviors.
- Worked with clients and insurer/TPA personnel, developed and implemented processes to objectively audit and manage TPA performance.
- Worked with clients to develop and implement worker and customer injury claims response processes designed to mitigate ultimate claim cost.
- Developed and implemented specific programs for construction risks, including "wrap-up" or owner controlled programs.
